Not All Puppy Dogs Can Swim
Altho, we believe all dogs can swim, or do the ‘doggie paddle’, this is inheritantly true, except in a few situations. Obese dogs, little puppys, elderly dogs or those that are sick can often fall as exception to this belief.
Each year many puppy dogs accidentally drown in backyard swimming pools when left unattended. If you have an inground swimming pool always remember to keep fenced-in pools locked securely when not being used, and keep pets away from unenclosed and unoccupied pools.
It does not take much to unintentially stumble into an open pool, but for many dogs, it may take a lot to get back out, if they can do it at all. Please help avoid this unnecessary common tragedy.
