If you’re an allergy sufferer and still want a dog, there are a few things you should know. Allergens from dogs, typically a dog’s dander, can cause allergic reactions including the triggering of asthma.
Some puppy dogs that have been noted for having little or no dander include the American Hairless, the Basenji, the Bedlington terrier, Bichon frise, Chihuahua, and the poodle. The recently popular “designer breeds” of dogs, which includes Yorkipoos and Cockapoos are also known to be better dogs for people who suffer from allergies.
There are also companies researching ‘cloned pets’, and have made some clains of a no-allergy dog, called hypoallergenic dogs. We may have some interesting articles on that topic a little later.
