Using your money wisely is the thing to do.  I write an article on feeding your dog an budget doesn’t mean you have to skimp on nutrition. Just because we are eating cheaper doesn’t mean we can’t eat healthy. Knowing what to cut and not cut from your dog’s diet is very important.

Here are some tips on feeding your dog on a budget the healthy way:

In these difficult economic times, we’re all looking to save a few dollars wherever we can. We may not go out for dinner as much, and we learn to cook with less expensive cuts of meat. Can we also trim back our dog’s dinner budget?

There are ways of saving money on your dog food bill; here are a few suggestions for you to consider. Have a look at what you’re putting in your dog’s dinner bowl. Canned food has a very high water content, so isn’t a very economical way of feeding your dog. You’re basically paying for a lot of water. By switching your dog to dry kibble, you’ll save money. The problem you may have is that canned food is much more palatable than kibble, and your dog may turn his nose up at his new menu. You can get around this by initially adding a few tablespoons of canned food to his kibble, or even moistening it with warm water.
