If you have ever gotten a puppy as a child, you might already know there are some things that kids and puppies have in common. Neither one has any experience with the other. If you teach kids how to live with a new puppy, you will find that they grow up to love and adore each other and form a bond that is never broken. All dogs, especially puppies, need to chew. It’s natural for a puppy to investigate objects with their mouth. It’s their way of finding out about the world. In addition, while puppies are growing up, they will go through teething stages. In order to make sure that you puppy is chewing on items that they are supposed to chew on and not your shoes, rug, or furniture, be sure to supply her with plenty of chew toys. You can select from nylon and rubber bones or rawhides.

Most people probably never thought they would see the day that puppy dogs would be using the litter box. Litter boxes are only for cats right? Wrong!
The demand in recent years for a better ‘waste management’ system for dogs, has spurred all kinds of equipment for litter box training your puppy. Behind this new push are people who live in the city, mostly apartments, that don’t have easy access to the outdoors to let their pup out 10 times a day.

Temperament Training
Unlike obedience training and behavior modification, temperament training must be viewed in a developmental context and MUST be accomplished during puppyhood. Preventive intervention is the key; to delay is utter folly. Preventative measures are easy, efficient, effective, virtually effortless, and even enjoyable, whereas in most cases, treating temperament problems in adult dogs is so time-consuming, so difficult and often, so dangerous.
