As a letter carrier of 22 years, my experiences with "pit bulls" (American Staffordshire Terriers) has been nothing but absolutely positive. I am a dog lover by nature anyway, and the pit bulls I have encountered have always been just the sweetest most lovable dogs without exception.

How can it look like a nice breed? All I saw was a picture of a puppy running. Looked like it might be a westie puppy.
You should save your thousands of dollars and get a poodle.

Exactly Right Trever! Thank you for the comment. I wonder if it is okay to get the prescription somewhere else if you have the bottle with the details on it?

It is professionally unethical for a veterinarian to deny you a prescription for medicine he would sell you there at his clinic or has prescribed for your pet. I am sorry that your vet somehow feels it is within his rights to do so. In the state of Pennsylvania, the Veterinary regulations only state the following concerning prescriptions:
Principle 7 (c) - "In the choice of drugs, biologics or other treatments, veterinarians should use their professional judgment in the interests of the animal, based upon their knowledge of the condition, the probable effects of the treatment and the available scientific evidence which may affect these decisions." -
So the law doesn’t make it illegal for a vet to deny a script request and certainly adds more questions. I must stress though, ethically and morally a vet should write a prescription. They are, after all, the DR. and you can and should get the meds filled at the pharmacy of your choice, not theirs. Just as you decide with your own medicines.

I enjoyed the information I got from this article. It certainly gave me a starting point for resolving my problem.

My dog has been losing small patches of hair.

I am grateful for the information about dog supplements. I intend to research the subject further.

In addition, I would like to find some resources or information on products that are natural and effective for my dog.

I am interested in finding out natural healthcare for dogs, and natural medical treatments for dogs.

I read that going natural is an effective way of dealing with a lot of common ailments that the affect dogs.

Is this really so? I am very interested in identifying natural options for dog maintenance and health.

I’m Ayeanne. I have just moved into my first apartment, and I would like to get a dog. I would like to have some company and protection. My situation is I can’t decide on which dog I should buy. I love dogs, but this will be my first time actually owning a dog. So, I want to know all there is to know about dogs, the different kinds that can be protective yet loving, the cool kind, and the dangerous kind. You get the idea. Anyway, I welcome any suggestions or resources that could help me decide what kind of dog is the right kind of dog for me, and what I will need to do to make sure my dog is well cared for?

Thanks for the tip. Believe me, I needed it.

I just agreed to take the big step and move in with my girlfriend of 2 years.

The problem is that she owns and loves her dog very much, and I don’t particularly know anything about dogs.

However, I really want my new living arrangements with my girlfriend to work out.

To be honest, I am sought of uncomfortable around the dog and want to broaden my horizons, so to speak, on the subject, and smooth this whole matter out.

This is why I joined this forum.

I am interested in all kind of to dog information and tips.
